Atlanta, GA --- The Kopf Consulting Group, on behalf of the Design Team, was awarded the tilt-up structural design contract for the Grand Bahamas International Airport located in Freeport, Grand Bahamas.  The facility will include 115,000 square feet of building footprint and 18,000 square feet of tilt-up panel comprised of 104 panels.  The height of wall from footing to top of panel is approximately 18’-6” feet.  The facility was designed to accommodate146 mph winds since the facility is in the hurricane prone region of the Bahamas.  With the use of proprietarily software developed by The Kopf Consulting Group thousands of different designs were evaluated to determine the most cost effective panel design.
