Project Information
The Dollar General Distribution Center, a 775,000 square foot facility, is located on 250 acres in Indianola, Mississippi. The facility was constructed to allow for expansion to 1.5 million square feet. The Design Team was recognized for their innovative use of steel joists and steel girders on the facility in Category 1, which recognized projects larger than 100,000 square feet.
Award Information
Philip Kopf, on behalf of the Dollar General Design Team (Indianola, Mississippi), was named a winner in the First Annual Steel Joist Institute Design Awards Program. The award program recognized outstanding projects which utilize steel joists and/or steel girders.
